- Conduct soil and water analyses in support to the interpretation and substantiation of the findings and recommendations of feasibility studies and research programs on proposed and on-going irrigation construction and rehabilitation projects;
- Prepare soil fertility and land classification standards with detailed laboratory analysis and investigatory procedures, for compilation as manuals invaluable as reference by members of research and feasibility study teams;
- Indicate land class and land use extents of ancillary maps or general layouts of design and existing service areas of irrigation systems as bases in setting irrigated area, water allocation and canal dimensions for every irrigation structure;

- Following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment;
